The Battle of the Midway basketball game between the San Diego State Aztecs and Syracuse Orange has bee picked up by FOX Sports, and will be shown nationally on Fox Sports Net. The game is set to take place on the flight deck of the USS Midway on Friday Nov. 9 with a 7 p.m. ET tip-off.

Here is some of the official press release which contains a lot of extra info about the event:

"We're very excited to announce Fox Sports as our national broadcast partner for the Battle on the Midway events," said Michael J. McLees, from Syndicus Entertainment. "Fox Sports is a leader in sports event production and this game presents an amazing canvas to create a spectacular and emotional weekend in support of our troops and veterans. The setting on the USS Midway Museum will provide a touching and remarkable backdrop."

Somewhat chocked that ESPN did not try to pick this up again since last year's event between Michigan State and North Carolina was such a draw.
