After a successful 2012 recruiting class featuring local 4-star recruit Robert Upshaw, Fresno State basketball coach Rodney Terry has hit the ground running for the 2013 cycle, grabbing a verbal commitment from Hutchinson Community College forward Alex Davis.

Davis had offers from multiple schools out of high school, including Arkansas, Houston, SMU and Colorado State, but went to Hutchinson community College. He was rated as a three-star recruit and the No. 47 power forward in the class of 2010 by Scout.com. He has said, however, that he plans to play small forward at Fresno State. He has three years of eligibility to play two seasons. The Bulldogs have two more scholarships remaining for the 2013 recruiting period.
