So, nothing changed prior to Saturday's game to after the games. There were almost a pair of upsets at Boise State nearly took out New Mexico, and TCU took San Diego State to overtime before losing. With San Diego State holding off TCU they win the regular season title and lock down the top seed.
The way the Mountain West has played out this year no team should feel safe, with the exception of UNLV who is playing on their home court and with that I think they are the favorite.
Right now the Mountain West is getting three teams in with New Mexico, San Diego State and UNLV, but if there is a fourth team it is going to come from Colorado State. Winning against TCU is imperative for Colorado State and they probably need to get past San Diego State to feel safe, but that will not be easy.
If Colorado State loses in the semifinal round they will need the favorites to advanced far enough and/or win their conference tournaments. There can probably not be more than four or five teams that make a surprise run to earn a bid for Colorado State to get in.
