Week 6 of MWC play is a bit light due to university finals. But MW Connection still has all the info for fans.
Week 6 of the 2012-13 is upon us as the Mountain West Conference men's basketball teams back off a bit due to Finals week. The 10-1 Wyoming Cowboys and 6-2 Colorado St. Rams are both taking the week off. By contrast the 5-3 Fresno St. Bulldogs play three times this week - including two match ups against Pac-12 teams (the Washington St. Cougars and Colorado Buffaloes).
Highlights include the 6-1 UNLV Rebels (ranked 21 in AP and 18 in the Coaches poll) at the California Golden Bears today (Sunday), CU at Fresno Wednesday the LSU Tigers traveling to play the 6-2 Boise St. Broncos Friday and Saturday's rivalry games - the No. 17/15 San Diego St. Aztecs (7-1) hosting the San Diego Torreros and the undefeated New Mexico Lobos (10-0 and ranked No. 18/20) hosting hated in-state rivals the New Mexico St. Aggies.
