Long, sad ending continues... Denver was securing a safe future in the dark as everyone was watching Rutgers & Maryland win the Big Ten lottery and the Big East throw gas on the dumpster fire. After years on the WAC or WCC apartment waiting list Denver found itself living in a home with a leaky roof. Thus in a move of self preservation Denver has agreed to become the western most member of the Summit League. I'm sure future hockey conference mate Nebraska-Omaha led the charge in getting the Pioneers a new home... Could this spell a future move for North Dakota? And while Denver was working on its exit the WAC was inviting Grand Canyon... Who? Was the same question I had... Apparently Grand Canyon is based in Phoenix and is a small for profit Christian liberal arts school. Thus the WAC continues to swim upstream taking one step forward and one step backward.
