WHAT ABOUT COLORADO ST.: The Rams are coming off a 42-14 drubbing at Boise St. but are 2-2 in their last four games as first year coach Jim McElwain’s first season as head coach come to and end. CSU has won two consecutive home games (33-11 over UNLV and 42-27 over Hawai’i and hope to grab a third in a row over New Mexico on Senior Night. The last time the Rams won three in a row at home in MWC play was the 2005 season.

ON OFFENSE: Colorado St. comes into the game with one of the most anemic offenses in FBS, ranked 105th in Total Offense averaging 332.3 yards per game, 98th in Rushing Offense with an average of 126.1 ypg and 92nd in Passing Offense with an average of 206.2 ypg. However the Rams are tied for 24th in the nation & ranks third in the MWC in Red Zone scoring (87.0%; 20-23). Junior running back Chris Nwoke leads the Rams in rushing averaging 65.1 ypg. Freshman quarterback Conner Smith has a passing efficiency rating of 128.7 for the season and sophomore wide receiver Charles Lovett is CSU’s top receiver, averaging 35.7 yards of receiving per game.

ON DEFENSE: CSU is average on defense, ranking 71st nationally in Total Defense allowing 411.4 yards per game.
