Week 8 College Football Betting Lines

A brief guide on how to bet in the Mountain West in Week 8.

No philosophy in the post as it's already Saturday morning and I want to watch my college football.

Last Week: 5-1

Overall: 34-22

Editor's note: all spreads are coming from Odds Shark. Please also note that the the favored team will have the spread points. All times are in Pacific Standard Time.

10/20/12, 11:00 AM San Jose State (-14) at UTSA, O/U-52.5-- San Jose State had yet another close lost last week, in what turned out to be a high powered offense game. Expect the offense along with the Spartan's defense showing up this week.

My Pick-SJSU covers- There is no way UTSA wins this one. The Spartans take one step closer to bowl eligibility with an easy win. Bet a 12-pack of Anchor Steam.

10/20/12, Noon New Mexico State vs Utah State (-28.5), O/U-52.5-- This is a huge spread, and I'm not sure the Utah Aggies can cover, but then again they were able to cover over 20 points versus UNLV. Also throw in the fact that NMSU lost to Idaho.

My Pick-Utah State covers- This is a huge spread, but Utah State is really good and NMSU is really bad. Bet a tennis ball.

10/20/12, 12:30 PM UNLV at Boise State (-27.5), O/U-54-- I can't see it, BSU's defense is too good, but their offense really isn't. Maybe a 20 point victory, but certainly not a 28 point victory. I have to check back on all my posts, but I haven't been wrong about BSU yet, and I bet against the spread with New Mexico.

My Pick-UNLV beats the spread- Please, please, PLEASE prove me wrong BSU. Especially against a UNLV team that we know can score. Bet a Quizno's sandwich.

10/20/12, 4:00 PM New Mexico at Air Force (-11), O/U-57-- Does Troy Calhoun have no f_____g ethics? Probably not, but that doesn't stop Dave Christensen's rant from being the most entertaining thing that happened last weekend. I also would like to nominate Calhoun's nickname to be Flyboy. HOWEVA, FOOTBAW BAWB ISHNT INTEMERDATED BY DA OPSHUN!

My Pick-LOBOS!- Think about this, the spread is fairly large, and New Mexico is able to travel and win (via the Islands). My Stupid Upset Pick of the week is for the Lobos to beat the spread and win. Bet a stapler.

10/20/12, 7:30 PM Wyoming at Fresno State (-15.5), O/U-59-- You know what? Dave Christensen will have another outburst today, this time about FSU's overly aggressive defense. You can bet on it.

My Pick-Fresno State covers- NICE F_____G PICK CHRIS, YOU CAN GET YOUR A** OUT OF HERE BECAUSE YOU DON'T BELONG. YEAH, REAL F_____G NEATO, NO ETHICS! NO ETHICS WHEN PICKING AGAINST WYOMING! Bet a censorship.

10/20/12, 7:35 PM San Diego State at Nevada (-6.5), O/U-65.5-- Nevada has tended to struggle against all the teams they've played against this year. San Diego State has improved vastly since the play-calling debacle that was the Washington game. Edge: SDSU.

My Pick-SDSU beats the spread- Nevada will struggle, but should pull out the win. This may come down to a field goal, though. Bet In N' Out, because the winners and losers both deserve such a tasty treat.
