Alabama is still the overwhelming top team in the latest SB Nation BlogPoll.
The Week 6 SB Nation BlogPoll is out, and to a surprise of no one, the Alabama Crimson Tide are the No. 1 team and claimed 76 of the 85 first place votes. The Oregon Ducks come in at second and have the next most first-place votes with three. The top seven overall actually stayed the same this week, and nine of the top 11 also remained stagnent.
The Oregon St. Beavers finally earned some respect and shot up the polls and are ranked No. 13 and somehow have claimed a first-place vote. On the other end of the spectrum, the Stanford Cardinal had the biggest drop off and are No. 18 after falling losing to the Washington Huskies.
As for Mountain West teams there are none this week, and the best chance went to Boise State, but their narrow win over New Mexico did not give confidence in any of the voters to put Boise State in the top 25.
Our site ballot was once again distracted by shiny things and had the third-highest change in our poll from a week to week basis. One week we may finally get that award.
