Garrett Grayson injury: Colorado State quarterback leaves game with shoulder injury

The Colorado St. Rams are struggling as it is this season, and in the first quarter of Saturday's game against the Air Force Falcons things got worse. Rams starting quarterback Garrett Grayson was completely leveled on an option play and hurt his shoulder. Grayson elected to not pitch the ball and reached out for the first down, but he was taken down by two Air Force players who landed on his left non-throwing shoulder.

Grayson stayed on the ground for a few minutes before he was able to get up off of the field, and when he did walk off the field with a pair of trainers he was moving very slow. He will not be returning to the game.

His replacement is senior M.J. McPeek, and he has filled in fairly well and so far has completed 16-of-22 for 191 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. However, his performance is not able to keep Colorado State in this game as they currently trail 35-14 early in the third quarter.
