Despite Boise State defeating a solid Fresno State, they did not make any new movement in any of the three major polls.
The latest college football rankings are out despite Boise State getting a 20-10 win over a good Fresno State team (at least that is my opinion). However, the polls did not give the Broncos any love. The main reason is that Texas Tech crushed West Virginia and jumped over Boise State, and in the AP poll Michigan jumped Boise State after they defeated Illinois, 45-0.
The AP poll has Boise State at No. 24, USA Today Coaches Poll has the Broncos at No. 22 and the Harris poll dropped Boise State one spot to No. 23.
In the coaches poll, Boise State is actually just three points behind Texas Tech who is No. 20, and that is the important one if Boise State is going to have a chance at earning another BCS bid.
Boise State fans should not worry about not moving up in the polls, because there are still a lot of football left. Also, there are some teams that are guaranteed to fall. The Big East had three undefeated teams so that won't last, and then I don't think Texas Tech, TCU or Texas A&M will stay ahead of Boise State.
With the Boise State schedule being fairly pedestrian they should be able to move up the rankings, and then get a big boost once they play Nevada in the season finale -- assuming Nevada is 11-1.
