The Colorado St. Rams are going to be without fifth-year senior guard Jesse Carr who tore his ACL during an off season workout. The injury occurred about three weeks ago during an off season workout, and this is a big blow to Colorado State as Carr averaged 7.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game last year.
Those are not huge stats, but being a fifth-year senior his experience on the court is definitely going to be missed. Carr also was an elite ball handler and was a player who would attack the hoop and get to the free throw line.
Carr was expected to be a backup again, so the Rams are now looking for a player to fill his role. The early projections are having Arizona transfer Daniel Bejarano, junior college transfer Jon Octeus, freshmen Jordan Mason or Joe De Ciman fill Carr's minutes.
With the injury occurring in the off season Carr would likely be eligible for a medical red shirt, allowing him a sixth year of eligibility to play in the 2013-14 season.
