However, I did hear that the MWC and C-USA might dissolve their leagues which would allow for them to create a new television deal. I wonder if that is what they are referring to. I heard that in passing on the CBS Sports college football podcast by Dennis Dodd, and I really forgot about it since I was busy. I’ll see what I can find.

I doubt that, because if the two leagues merger why would they drop a television channel that is in place. It could be used more like a regional network and show lower tier football, basketball and then a lot of Olympic sports. That is what the Mtn. should be doing right now.

It was on the Darren Smith show and they made some comments going into a commercial break. I wasn’t paying close attention at the time so I might be mistaken but I don’t think they were talking about a merger.

From what I recall, Marty Caswell said employees of The Mtn were being told the network was going to shut down after the college baseball season. I think she said she saw a tweet or something… I can’t find anything on the web so, like I said, I could be way off.
