C'mon San Diego! Where's the love?
San Diego State had a great season last year and they are expecting another good year this year. Where’s the fan support though? The media was reporting that about 1,000 fans showed up to watch the scrimmage. 1,000? I realize there is a lot to do in San Diego, but how can you create a great program when the community couldn’t care less? With a population of over 1 million people, you would think you could get more than 1,000 fans. Lindley and Hillman are an exciting pair to watch but apparently San Diegans don’t care. C’mon!
By the way, Boise State had their scrimmage and over 15,000 fans showed up. Don’t be surprised when Boise comes to play SDSU that half the stadium are Bronco fans.

very true
Qualcomm is so big that I would not be surprised either if there are maybe 10,000 Boise State fans at that game.

I have no idea if this applies to SDSU
but in some conversations online here with some Padres fans (a team that draws very poorly given their market) there are a lot of transplants in the San Diego area. Maybe that applies here, local support might be lacking due to none of the population caring much about the local teams.
