2011 Ray Guy And Lou Groza Preseason Watch List Released; Features Two Mountain West Players

With the college football season slowly approaching it means it is the time for the award watch lists to be released. The 2011award watch lists are being announced daily and are running through July 18.

The latest announcement is for the Lou Groza Award which is given to the nation's top field goal kicker. The other award is the Ray Guy Award which is given to the leagues top punter. The Ray Guy Award only lists five candidates now with the full list being released on Oct. 28. No Mountain West players are on the Ray Guy preseason award list.

Here is the order of the rest of the award preseason watch lists. Awards with links takes you to the list of Mountain West players nominated as well as Mountain West opponents.

Mountain West nominees: Ross Evan, TCU and Abel Perez, San Diego State.

Mountain West opponent nominees: Kevin Goessling, Fresno State; Zach Hocker, Arkansas; Aaron Jones, Baylor; David Roffer, Notre Dame; Blair Walsh, Georgia; Phillip Welch, Wisconsin.
