Nevada Lands First Ever Recruit from Texas
Yesterday Nevada received a verbal from Texas high-schooler Jarred Gipson. Gipson will be the first ever player Nevada has recruited from the state of Texas in what could be a future potential recruiting ground for them. A 6'2'' 220 lb TE, Gipson could help fill the hole left by Wolf Pack standout Virgil Greene at an important position for the pistol. Gipson's high school, Cypress Creek HS, actually uses the pistol so the transition should be smooth for him. He had been recruited as an athlete by other schools, but Nevada offered him the chance to stick at his preferred position. Follow that link for a video on him via silverandbluesports.com.
