Boise State's Nate Potter, TCU's Tank Carder Named To Phil Steele's 2011 First Team All-American List
Phil Steele released his 2011 pre-season All-American team today and Boise State and TCU each had one first-team selection with offensive tackle Nate Potter for Boise State and linebacker Tank Carder from TCU. Boise State also had two others named to Steele's All-American list with defensive lineman Billy Winn named to the second team and quarterback Kellen Moore made the third-team list with only Oklahoma's Landry Jones and Stanford's Andrew Luck on the first- and second-teams.
TCU also had a second member on the list with another linebacker in Tanner Brock who was selected to the fourth team. I am surprised that running back Ronnie Hillman and quarterback Ryan Lindley of San Diego State were not on the list at all. South Carolina's Marcus Lattimore who had less yards then Hillman was named to the second team, but I guess because South Carolina is expected to be better is why Lattimore is on the list while Hillman is now.
The full list is after the jump.
