2011 Mountain West Baseball Tournament Update

The first round are in the books for the Mountain West baseball tournament and No. 6 seeded New Mexico upset No. 3 seeded BYU 5-4 in the 11-inning contest which was the longest game in Mountain West Conference tournament play. The other game saw No. 4 seeded San Diego State defeat the No. 5 seeded UNLV Rebels 4-3. New Mexico moves on to face top seeded TCU while San Diego State hosts Utah.

UNLV now takes on BYU in the losers bracket of the double elimination tournament with loser being knocked out.

No. 2 Utah vs. No. 4 San Diego State 3 p.m. PT TV: CBS Sports/The Mtn.

No. 1 TCU vs. No. 6 New Mexico TV: CBS Sports/The Mtn.
