New Mountain West Logo Released!
May 24, 2011
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -
We at the Mountain West Conference are pleased to announce a complete re-branding of the conference identity. With the addition of Boise State as a member, and the loss of BYU and Utah this year, as well as TCU next year, we felt it was important for the conference to create an image for itself that reflects the identity of the conference going forward. We feel that this new logo will adequately reflect that change and are excited for our new image to go into effect. We are proud to be the new turf the Broncos will walk over in their attempts to bust the BCS. I think I speak for everyone in the conference when I say 'Go Broncos!!!'

When BSU joined the MWC back in Summer 2010
I remember seeing this logo made by a Boise State fan. This absolutely perfect timing to bring it back… Rec’d

Add on idea...
Have the other schools riding the Broncos coat tails to a big paycheck once they get a bowl game.
It in most schools interest to not beat the Broncos so they can rake in a few extra million that they wouldn’t get normally. Good job BCS!

I like the current logo as well
Purple is my favorite color but maybe they will just change the color scheme to Blue and Orange :).

air force, tcu and sdsu might have something to say about that.
Anderson Silva would never fight "Bones". He is too scared to fight the real P4P champion. Nick Diaz, the man who will prove to the MMA world that he is the best WW in the world. Still public enemy #1 and enjoying every minute of it.

Focus groups used to create new logo!
It seems that there are many who believe the new MWC logo is, to use a nice description, ugly. Comment boards around the college sports world have voiced dislike and ridiculed the graphics, comparing the logo to Dr.Who, Atari video games, etc. However, after some research, new information has surfaced on the genesis of the emblem. Most notably, it has been discovered that focus groups were involved with the logo’s creation. Focus groups were created in Moscow ID, Boulder CO, Las Cruces NM, and Fort Worth TX. Apparently, those groups gave the new logo a 100 percent approval rating. It should be noted that the focus group in Ft Worth, while giving a thumbs up, did believe it would be better to wait a year before unveiling it. The group in Moscow did like the bright colors and thought the design was cutting edge, but they were a little confused with the tag line “This Is Our Time”. The most common reply was “It must mean happy hour”. Response from Boulder was basically pacifistic, with most being concerned about if sports competition was in line with being tolerant of one another, and maintaining a diverse culture. The Las Cruces focus group was the smallest group as only one person attended. Being an avid Aggie fan, he said the empty seats didn’t bother him as he was use to same thing at Memorial Stadium during football games.
