Lots of Changes Happening Down at San Diego State
Yesterday, Dr. Elliot Hirshman was named by the California State University Board of Trustees as the new president of San Diego State University. He replaces president Stephen Weber has stepped down. Hirshman was the provost and senior vice president of the University of Maryland.
Today, it is being reported that SDSU has hired Washington State Associate Athletic Director John David Wicker to fill the No. 2 job in the athletic department. Wicker, 41, will be SDSU’s senior associate athletic director under Athletic Director Jim Sterk. These personnel changes come at a time when there is a great concern over Aztec athletics and how the school will cope with cuts due to California's budget crisis.

Stephen Weber
was a big supporter of Aztecs football even when the program were hemorrhaging money. Hopefully, Elliot Hirshman will continue to support the program.
Of course, if football program continues to succeed and bring in revenue as it did last season, it won’t be much of an issue.
Let’s go Aztecs!
university of cal is the school that is hurting. did they not cut a few of their athletic programs?
Jon " Bones " Jones new UFC light heavyweight champion. Even if Jones got struck flush in the face he would recover and defeat whoever is in front of him. I told everyone the fight would be easy. Anderson Silva would never fight "Bones". He is too scared to fight the real P4P champion. Nick Diaz, the man who will prove to the MMA world that he is the best WW in the world.
