Wynn Hotel Places Odds On Who Will Be Next UNLV Basketball Coach

LAS VEGAS NV - FEBRUARY 22: Retired Indy Car driver Al Unser Jr. poses at the 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign on February 22 2011 in Las Vegas. (Photo by David Becker/Getty Images for IndyCar)

Most times when a potential list of coaches is formed in order to find a replacement is that, a list. However, in Las Vegas one can bet on almost anything and the latest is odds have been set up -- for entertainment purposes only -- on who will be the next UNLV head coach to replace Lon Kruger who left for Oklahoma.

The Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas has set up an odds list on who the next coach will be, and the top two choices are who we all expected with former UNLV players Reggie Theus and Dave Rice. Theus is currently an assistant in the NBA and is the favorite at 2-to-1 with current BYU assistant coach Dave Rice is listed at 3-to-1. A list would not be complete without a sucker bet, and this list has two names that fit the bill. The first is Bob Knight who is listed at 10,000-to-1 odds and former UNLV coach Jerry Tarkanian is listed at 25,000-to-1 odds on being named the next head coach at UNLV.

The full list is after the jump.

I would bet on Rice or Theus, but the odds are not very good.

10 bucks on bruce pearl. vegas loves corrupt people. look at it's mayor oscar goodman.

he is the one who was behind opening the mob museum. also had a bit role in the movie “casino”

The University of Utah is off to the Pac-12 Conference and will be in the South Division. Hopefully we will get to the first ever Pac-12 Championship Game. Jon " Bones " Jones new light heavyweight champion. Even if Jones got struck flush in the face he would recover and defeat whoever is in front of him. I told everyone the fight would be easy. Almost felt sorry for Rua. Anderson Silva would never fight "Bones". The Cult of Personality is here.

he should have ran for governor than. he might be on the somewhat up and up now but even he admitted......

he was lawyer who defended mobsters and did “everything” he can to get them acquitted. tony
" the ant" spilotro was one of those guys and joe pesci played him in the movie “casino” he was killed in real life with his brother by his former mobster friends. you can read about how brutal the killing was. plus mr. goodman is a known alcoholic and i’ve actually seen the man walking downtown in las vegas when i lived there and he has the bulbous nose that proves it.
