6'9'' power forward from NY commits to TCU on TV, no really, it happened
![]()
This is the sign of life that we have been waiting for from Jim Christian's recruiting efforts. 6'9'' 240 lb power forward Ryan Rhoomes from Queens, NY has committed to play for the Frogs next season and bring a much needed physical presence to the front court. Rhoomes chose TCU over his other finalists Oklahoma State, Seton Hall & Providence. Interestingly enough Rhoomes listed having to play one year in the MWC before heading to the Big East as a selling point. Rhoomes will now go from recruit to recruiter as he looks for other top talent to join him in Fort Worth and priority #1 is Brooklyn point guard Shaquille Stokes.

Who's the what now?
It’s amazing how conference realignment can change recruiting. I figured that TCU would get a big bump in basketball by going to the BE.
It’s not just in the big sports either. Utah got its best tennis recruiting class ever. Utah’s Tennis recruiting class ranked 24
Then follow up there best recruiting class ever soon after signing there biggest blue chip recruit.
“I am very proud to announce the signing of our first ever blue chip recruit,” said head coach F.D. Robbins. “Sahak will improve our team tremendously and help us become competitive in the Pac-12 Conference.”
Bazrganian will join 5-star recruit Geoffrey Matias and top 100 junior in the world Slim Hamza when the Utes enter the Pac-12 during the 2011-12 season.

Interesting how he said he is going to try help recruit good players to TCU in the interview.
This could be a huge bump for TCU going forward too. It will be interesting to see how they do in the MWC next year.
