Chris Dobbertean, SB Nation's College Basketball Guru, does Bracketology every Tuesday and Friday. This week's post features three Mountain West teams moving up in the bracket.
UNLV, San Diego State and BYU are locks and have been for quite some time, the only thing in question has been their seeding. BYU moved up to a one seed in the SB Nation bracket after defeating San Diego State, but dropped down to a four seed after an ugly home loss to New Mexico. This week, Dobbertean has moved them up a spot to a 3 seed. UNLV also moves up to a 7 seed mainly due to having teams in front of them fall as well as their recent five game win streak. San Diego State stays as a 2 seed after winning their regular season finale over Colorado State.
Colorado State has actually moved up after losing to San Diego State on Saturday. Dobbertean didn't have them in either the First Four Out or Next Four Out on last Friday's bracket, but the Rams are the sixth team out in Tuesday's bracket. The Rams will most likely have to get to the Mountain West Tournament Championship in order to ensure a bid. New Mexico isn't on the list, even after having swept Mountain West #1 seed BYU. The Lobos are in win or go home mode as their at-large hopes were dashed a couple weeks back after losing to Utah.
