The first round of the Mountain West Tournament took place yesterday, and we had some good games and some not so good games. In our first game of the night, TCU gave BYU a scare, getting as close as 60-58 with less than 20 seconds left, but BYU pulled out the victory to move on to the sem-finals, 64-58. After that, Colorado State had a big game with New Mexico. The winner would get their shot at BYU of which a win would most likely mean an NCAA Tournament bid. The game was close at all times, and New Mexico defeated Colorado State 67-61.
Of course, there were those other two games, but those weren't nearly as exciting. San Diego State finished off Utah's season, which will most likely be the end of the Jim Boylen era at Utah, 64-50. In the other semi-final of the night, UNLV ran away from Air Force, 69-53. UNLV and San Diego State will meet to play tonight at 8:30 P.M. PT.
Tonight are the MWC semi-final games and who's playing, when they are playing, and where to watch them will be displayed after the jump.

Game to Watch for Friday: BYU vs. New Mexico
Both semi-final games should be amazing to watch, but this one will be able to seen across the country since it's not so late, plus New Mexico needs a win to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive.
