The Wyoming Cowboys made a quiet move and brought in a new offensive coordinator. The new man in charge of the offense is former Wyoming wider receivers coach Greg Brandon who was in Laramie from 1987-90. Brandon does have experience in this region as he went to high school in Colorado, coached at Northern Colorado and Weber State in addition to Wyoming.
Brandon most notably was Urban Meyer's offensive coordinator at Bowling Green and took over the head coaching job when he left for Utah in 2003. Brandon was the Bowling Green head coach from 2003-2008 and appeared in three bowl games and had only one losing season during that time. His last year was 6-6 and was then let go as their head coach.
Then after spending one year as the offensive coordinator at Virginia he is back at Wyoming. He is a good fit at Wyoming and it is more then him just being familiar with the Front Range area, but he was a good offensive coordinator at Bowling Green where he ran a similar spread offense.
The now-former offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo is heading west to take the quarterback position at Cal.
