BYU moved into their highest ranking since they were second during the 19877-88 season as the Cougars moved into the third spot after they beat San Diego State. The Cougars received help with Duke losing to Virginia Tech and Colorado beating Texas. BYU is now in a good position to get a number one seed if they can win out. As for the Aztecs, they are still in the top 10 in both of the polls, and can still get a two seed in the NCAA tournament, but a one seed is a pipe dream at this point.
Also, UNLV is receiving some votes in the poll while Colorado State are no longer receiving votes in any of the polls and the Mountain West is looking like a three-bid league since Colorado State has slipped up.
