Colorado State comes in on the First Four line this week, but Dobbertean says they have room to move up.
There's a quartet of Mountain West teams in this week, as Colorado State finally breaks through after a home win over New Mexico on Saturday night. The Rams are in the First Four for the moment, but a Saturday home game against UNLV, a team they defeated in the desert, and trips to BYU and San Diego State (who remain on the two line) give them opportunities to rise.
San Diego State and BYU both stay on the two line. Even with a loss to San Diego State on Saturday, UNLV only moves down to an 8 seed. This is mainly due to Wisconsin beating Ohio State and Kansas State beating Kansas, both No. 1 in the polls at the time. UNLV beat both Wisconsin and Kansas State. As for the rest of the season, Dobbertean says another loss to Colorado State could look very bad on the Rebels resume.
As for the Runnin' Rebels, a sweep at the hands of Colorado State could be damaging, given the 0-4 mark Lon Kruger's team put up against the Cougars and Aztecs.
New Mexico barely stays in the "also considered" group.
