I like
But where did this come from? It mentions the US Senate, but it could be the Senate of the TDS for all I know.
Go Cuse. Go Utes. Go Kings (hockey version). Go Panthers (hockey version). Go Marlins. Go Dodgers. I despise the NFL and NBA, so don't bore me.
Since when is Boise State in the Midwest?
It’s much more pacific/northwest than midwest… I wouldn’t complain if we could be in that division though, pretty winable.
12 for championship? Ind?
Personally, I like championship games and there are 12 required to have one… Also, if ND is to be eliminated as an independent, why make all three service academies independents? 10 total conferences, each with championship and each with one AQ. 16 team playoff with 6 at large. You have a great idea (didn’t see the congressional input, but if you could link it, that would be cool), and I think we could sit around and tweak it quite a bit. In my opinion, college football should be fair, in as many ways as possible. The way I set them up here, would be to remain as regional as possible, to promote in state and close rivalry games. There are mistakes, to be sure.
congress was more of a joke b/c it would take something ridiculous to force realignment like this to happen
i just dont see any point in arkansas playing arkansas state in a conference game or a 16 team playoff w/ the wac, sun belt & mac get a chance. bcs schools & a handful of exceptions are clearly in a different league than the rest of non-AQ
combining our ideas, the ncaa allows 10 team leagues to have a conference championship game. #1 & #2 play each other again after the 9-game round robin schedule for the right to go to the 8-team playoff. so now the best teams come playoff time get to play for a national championship.
8 conference championship games – 16 teams
4 playoff games – 8 teams (7 conf champs + at-large)
2 semifinals – 4 winners
1 national championship game – 2 best teams
1 champ
Or you could go back to 1991 & never mess with things & ask the 7 BCS conferences to please pay round robin 9-game schedules.
Big 10 – same
Pac 10 – same
SEC 10 – same, no Arkansas & Sakerlina expansion
ACC 10 – Sakerlina never left & FSU still joins
Big 8 + 2 = 10 – add in Utah & BYU
BEast 10 = classic 7 of BC, Cuse, Rutgers, Pitt, West Va, Va Tech, Miami… kick out Temple (of course)… add in young UConn & USF programs… score Penn St over B1G
SWC 10 = now this conf had problems w/ 8 Tx teams. kick out SMU, Rice, Houston. add in Memphis, Louisville, Cincinnati & Boise State (or leave Houston if you like geography over tv markets)

Memphis promoted?
There are several C-USA teams more deserving — SMU and Houston come to mind.
