BCS Rankings Week 11 Projections: Boise State Stays At No. 5

The Game of the Century between No. 1 and No. 2 LSU Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide came out to be a 9-6 dud in my opinion. However, the closeness of the game will naturally result in talk of a rematch (NO!), but Alabama is projected to be ahead of the Boise St. Broncos in the latest BCS standings at No. 3 with Boise State still at No. 5.

Here are the latest BCS projections:

1. LSU
2. Oklahoma State
3. Alabama
4. Stanford
5. Boise State
6. Oklahoma
7. Arkansas
8. Oregon
9. Clemson
10. Virginia Tech
11. Houston
12. Penn State
13. Kansas State
14. South Carolina
15. Michigan State

I think there is an error on Kansas State since this is their second loss in a row, possibly an oversight.

However, with Alabama projected at No. 3 all it will take is a Oklahoma win over Oklahoma State to make the BCS title game. Assuming correct this basically means Boise State has no chance of making it to the BCS title game, but maybe that is for the best because if Boise State or another non-BCS team makes the title game Bill Hancock and the BCS honks will scream from the mountain tops that the BCS is fair and open to all.
