Colorado State Vs. TCU: Rams Likely Without Pete Thomas, Horned Frogs Looking To Keep BCS Hopes Alive

The Colorado St. Rams are most likely going to be playing freshman Garrett Grayson at quarterback over Pete Thomas who left last weeks game against the San Diego St. Aztecs with a knee injury. As late as Thursday Thomas he could walk without a limp but was unable to plant and throw the ball, so it is highly unlikely that Thomas will see action and he is officially listed as questionable on the injury report.

However, there is good news for Colorado State as they get back senior captain and linebacker Mychal Sisson who has been out with a broken ankle since the Northern Colorado game back in September. Sisson has been practicing since last week, but he will suit up and be ready today against TCU. The amount Sisson will play is uncertain but he will be on the field.

Star-divide

As for TCU they got some help on Thursday night as Southern Miss was upset by UAB and that upset gets TCU that much closer to a BCS Bowl game. TCU needs Houston to lose one of their remaining games against SMU or Tulsa and if they get past Tulsa to then lose the Conference USA title. That would help TCU tremendously in getting to a BCS bowl game. TCU also will need to get into the top-16, but that should take care of itself by winning out.

As for today's game against Colorado State, TCU should be careful of a let down game and not stumble early against Colorado State. That could happen since TCU has not been all that consistent this year, but that has changed over the last month.

Expect TCU to get their running game back on track and take care of business against Colorado State.
