Glen Mason Denies Report He Is New Mexico's Next Head Coach

Looks like as soon as the report came out that current Big 10 Network analyst and former Minnesota Golden Gophers head coach Glen Mason was to be the next New Mexico Lobos head coach he denied those reports and has no interest in the New Mexico job.

Mason took to twitter to let everyone know that he was not interested:

Even Minnesota athletics director Joel Maturi said Tuesday that he thought New Mexico would hire Mason shortly and Mason's wikipedia mentioned briefly that he was to replace Mike Locksley. News changes quickly, but with reports of a introductory press conference for Mason there had to have been talks and even contract negotiations.

One last thing I need to repeat again and to get the point across I will use all caps and if I am wrong I will full admit to it:

MIKE LEACH WILL NOT BE THE NEXT HEAD COACH OF NEW MEXICO!

It would be awesome if Leach went to New Mexico bu it is not going to happen. KOB mentioned two candidates:

Some of the candidates still considered for the head coach position would include former Texas Tech Head Coach Mike Leach and current Sam Houston State Head Coach Willie Fritz.

I'd put good money on Fritz being the head coach before Leach.
