Colorado State Vs. Stanford Open Thread: Winner Goes To Madison Square Garden

Stay connected for news and updates

The Colorado St. Rams are taking on the Stanford Cardinal at Maples Pavilion in the preseason NIT tournament and the winner gets to go to Madison Square Garden where the likely opponent will be the Oklahoma St. Cowboys. On their path Colorado State easily defeated the SMU Mustangs 75-59 and had four players in double figures. Dorian Green led Coloraod State with 19 points, six rebounds and five assists.

Offensive rebounding is a key reason to why Colorado beat SMU as they had 10 and could be an edge they could have against Stanford. Stanford cruised pass the Fresno St. Bulldogs 75-59 with guard Aaron Bright leading the way 21 points in the rout.

Tonight's game is on ESPNU and at 11 p.m. ET, so stay up late and see if Colorado State can advance to New York City and get some well deserved publicity.

AccuScore ($) has Stanford as the favorite winning 62 percent of the time, but with a close average score of 70.2 to 65.1. They also predict the high score to be Colorado State's Wes Eikmeier at 17.5 points.
