College Basketball Rankings: No Mountain West Team Cracks USA Today Preseaosn Poll

The USA Today preseason basketball coaches poll was released today and no Mountain West team made the list. Only the New Mexico Lobos and UNLV Rebels came in and received votes. Some time this season those two should be ranked as should the San Diego St. Aztecs.

The No. 1 team is the North Carolina Tar Heels who received 30 out of 31 first -place votes and is a team that UNLV could face in a tournament early in the season.

Here is the complete poll:

Could be a tough year for SDSU

The Aztecs’ will have to mesh quickly and avoid the injury bug because their non-conference schedule is brutal and frontcourt depth is paper thin.

I think they have talent to make it, at least I think they do.

Shows how far the program has come

when I think a tough year means no Top 25 and only around 20 wins.

As usual

the Mountain West gets no respect. Both New Mexico and UNLV will be strong and it won’t take either too long to crack the Top 25. Aztecs have a lot of new players but are talented. It won’t take Fisher long to get them going in stride.
