Wyoming Hits Recruiting Trail Hard With New Additions
Singing day is less then a week away and Wyoming has had a busy two weeks in recruiting and have landed a few good players. Most recently they signed three-star wide receiver Kevin Robertson who is a tall and lengthy wide out who should fit nicely in their system:
He fits the mold of former Poke wideout David Leonard or current WR/TE T.J. Smith with nice size and hands but not blazing speed. Looks like a very solid target who does a great job of coming down with pretty anything thrown his way. On the year he had 1490 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns. He is the eighth player from Texas in the Cowboy 2011 recruiting class which now has 23 members.
A lot more highlights of Robertson can be found here.
Wyoming also landed the top linebacker out of Colorado, Eddie Yarbrough who is the sixth best player in Colorado and the 31st best linebacker in the country. Yarbrough is a punishing run-stopper but is considered a liability in the passing game. With his size Yarbrough could play any of the linebacker positions or defensive end.
Another prospect that Wyoming picked up one of the best kickers in the nation in Daniel Sullivan, who is one of the rare place kickers to receive a scholarship straight out of high school. The latest two recruits that Wyoming picked up were defensive tackle Gary Lee and offensive lineman Jake Jones. Now for some highlights of these two players:

On february 5th 2011 at UFC 126 Jon "Bones" Jones will show the world that their was no need for the MMA community to hype this man because this guy is a beast with many skills and i personally will feel Ryan "Darth" Bader's pain after this fight. SB Nation's public enemy #1.

Good God that NM loss was embarrassing.
Wyoming fired the last coaching staff after the 2008 season, but that staff was sure they were going to get fired after the 2007 season. The AD took mercy on them, but they struggled to recruit anyone for the 2008 class; they had no confidence going into kids homes and came away with almost nothing. Christiansan took over after thee 2008 season and won the NM bowl in 2009, but that was with the last of Joe Glenn’s good recruits.
Wyoming didn’t have much of a chance in 2010 because the cupboards were so bare coupled with what looked like one of the toughest schedules in the nation: Boise, Texas, Utah, TCU, Air Force, and San Diego State all before we showed up at New Mexico.
Wyoming will get back to winning as soon as GC’s recruits season up a little bit and the 2008 class is a ways back in the rear view mirror. It will be tough with the AD scheduling 2 for 1’s with teams like Texas and Nebraska, but I think Wyoming’s next decade looks a lot more like Fresno’s last decade than it does Utah State’s.
I agree
The recruiting class Wyoming got this year was very good.

i'll give wyoming one thing. they have beaten a few sec teams. most notoble the game with tennessee.
they were 27.5 dogs and they won the game outright. i think it was 13-10 and wyoming was not good that year. i had that game for the points. i just wish i had the +1850 moneyline.
