TCU lands 4-star DT out of Louisiana
My recruiting wish has finally been answered as TCU garnered a commitment from stud defensive tackle prospect Chuck Hunter today per Rivals. Hunter fills a position of great need for the Frogs due to the graduation of massive interior lineman Kelly Griffin and Cory Grant, and should be able to see the field and make an impact immediately. Hunter is out of West Monroe, LA and also had offers to Oklahoma State, Missouri, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Illinois, Baylor, Memphis, and La Tech. Hunter was also shown interest from LSU and was most likely holding out for an offer from the hometown Tigers but luckily for the Frogs they seemed to come up a few schollies short in the end. Landing a prospect like this out of SEC country is a watershed moment for this program and is hopefully a sign of things to come for the Frogs. As you can see from his junior film Hunter is a beast and his addition makes this 2011 recruiting class a special one, and currently in the Rivals Top 25.

Seems like someone who the Tigers would oversign in regular circumstances.
Still, fantastic news for the frogs. This Big East thing is paying dividends already.

One more...
Ben, then you should also be happy, frankly I am ecstatic, that former Tech committ Jon Lewis, also a stud defensive tackle, decommitted and gave TCU a solid verbal. We were also helped out by the fact that the Tech D-Coordinator/recruiter left Tech to join Florida and Muschamp’s staff. Keep your eye on Brandon Carter. Rumor has it he already decommitted from OU and visited TCU last weekend? Jeremy Kerley part deux? Carter Wall, Brandon Harris, Brandon Alexander, and Michael Reynolds are my remaining wish lit!
yeah, heady times for TCU recruiting
I also posted about Jon Lewis, this post simply occurred before that news broke..
Looks like the Brandon Carter thing will go down till signing day, but apparently OU is still fighting for him so we’ll see…
I really want Brandon Alexander, he is the type of player that makes the TCU defense go… Reynolds appears to be the fallback, but he looks like a typical GP diamond in the rough
One more OL wouldn’t hurt either, Carter Wall of LaRaven Clark would be great gets though I’m thinking Tayo Fabuluje will get moved to OT so there is not as big of a need as you might think…
