Mountain West Football Week One Power Rankings

Good things are worth the wait right? Been a busy week but here are the inaugural polls and in a shocker for the early season is that each voter voted exactly the same from one to nine, so onto the poll. If I had the choice I would put New Mexico 10th.

Then New Mexico would be 12th

I like the idea of adding Boise State, Fresno State and Nevada in our rankings

Otherwise the eventual MWC champ could still be in second position throughout. That seems awkward.

If we add them in do we stop ranking Utah and BYU then? I like keeping it to these nine since they are the actual MWC teams.

So this week all of the rankins were the same 1-9?

But in the future you’ll tell us how everyone voted, right? I like knowing how the board editors feel about the teams, especially early when there are a lot of divergent opinions.

The link that michael provided has the best method

They ranked the Pac 10 teams including new members but they didnt give them an actual number.

Why is that the best method?

We all know what that means. Utah is 3rd, Colorado is 7th (if I remember Wilmer’s link correctly). Pretending that they’re not in the rankings just because you didn’t give them a number seems kind of childish.
