The excuses keep on coming for the Beavers
After Oregon State fans whined all week that having the roof open in Cowboys Stadium gave TCU an unfair advantage now Mike Riley is making "spy-gate" type allegations.
Media were informed this week that there's a new video policy at Oregon State that requires us to NOT shoot any sort of player interaction. This comes after Mike Riley says the Beavers "got burned a little bit" when video footage of fall camp leaked to TCU.

What a joke on the part of Oregon State.
Mountain West Connection - The best site for MWC Sports.
UNLV is going all the way this year!
To be fair, I know there are quite a few programs that have that policy in place
My Washington Huskies close practice during the season except to donors and family members, and they had a problem with some formation and play call specifics leaking out on blogs that was addressed by Sarkisian directly. He actually threatened to close all practices to the public if it kept happening. It also seems like Hawaii might have not had as much success as they did against USC had the stuff about the Pistol formations they were running leaked out.
That said, excuses are like assholes…it was mistakes that lost them that game.
Agreed
TCU has the same policy. Gary Patterson doesn’t even allow pictures at practice after the first 10 minutes. What I have a problem is Riley mentioning it after a loss, thats bush league. They lost that game because they got DOMINATED at the line of scrimmage, nuff said.

Eh...being a Pac-10 fan
I’ll give Riley a pass on this one. He’s really a first class coach, and to be honest, fans of almost all teams really want to hear excuses after a tough loss (see: My beef with MWC officals after UW’s loss to BYU). I think it was more off the cuff than anything.
TCU looked faster than the last few years, maybe it’s just because I know how fast and shifty the Rodgers bros are, but they couldn’t get that run game established at all.
TCU's D is actually
alot slower this year after losing Jerry Hughes at DE and Daryl Washington at LB. I’d say the only spot on D we are faster is at corner, and James Rogers still abused our cb’s, including the 2nd fastest guy on the team Greg Mccoy.

Hmmm...they looked fast on tape
maybe it’s because I never really sat down to watch a whole game last year. Either way, while I’d like Utah to win the conference this year to deliver a bit of a boost to the Pac-10, TCU looks like the team to beat by quite a bit.
