It's homecoming week at the University of Utah, which means another easy victory.

The No. 13 Utes are a heavy favorite once again against a weak opponent. San Jose State (1-2) is coming off a last minute victory over FCS school Southern Utah, escaping 16-11 at home.

With another pending blowout victory for the Utes, something fans can look forward to is the QB play. Jordan Wynn began practice this week and he says his thumb is fine. Whittingham hasn't announced who the starter will be, but expectations are that Jordan Wynn makes his return after the two game absence

The Spartans are led by Senior QB Jordan La Secla who leads their 116th ranked offense against one the nations 19th ranked defense. La Secla has completed 51/75 passes this season for 506 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Last year Utah had their hands full when they visited San Jose State, pulling away in the 4th quarter for a 10 point win. The game was not as close as the score however as the Utes dominated in yardage, outgaining San Jose State 499 to 264. Penalties, turnovers and their inability to score in the red zone kept the game close.

Don't expect it to be close this year. That game was Terrance Cain's just second start at QB last season and Utah's offense struggled to finish drives. This years team has a much more powerful offense and Utah is playing in a stadium where they rarely lose.

Looking for something to watch in this game? Keep an eye on the play of Matt Asiata and Eddie Wide. They have raised concerns with their lack of productivity early this season. Against New Mexico they combined for just 57 yards. They are what was expected to be the best running back tandem in the MWC and should be putting up better numbers, keep an eye on them.

Odds are strongly in the Utes favor. They are going for their 19th straight home victory over a team that hasn't defeated a ranked opponent in ten years. Utah is listed as a 32 point favorite.

The game will not be televised but you can listen to it on ESPN 700.

Utes need to dominate

And not have a game like they did last year. Also, 3 games are not on TV and it is a joke.

we need to put up 56 or 63 points. coach whitt knows this and he has run up the score before.

anybody remember a game when utah was giving 34.5 points. that is the point spread. not taking it though. i can’’t give 5 td’s on any team. if bama beats arky we would still move up to 12 th in the nation in week 4. lets hope south carolina wins vs auburn. i actually have that game at +3 for south carolina. we don’t want auburn to jump us but that played no factor in me taking them. i like the kid named lattimore. he is rushing 115 yards a game and he is a freshman. plus garcia has toughened up. he ran thru some players vs southern miss and i think last weeks team?

I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. Glory favors the bold. Chance favors the prepared mind. Luck, well i have that too. University of Utah goes to the Pac-12 conference in 2011. I expect them to compete immediately for the conference CG. Brock Lesnar will defeat Cain Velasquez. The most hated and misunderstood person on the MMA blogs.. Utah and Boise take care of business in week one. Don't be surprised if they both go undefeated.
