Predicting The Season: BYU @ TCU
The Cougars are coming off a season in which they were actually in talks of going to a BCS Bowl, but losing twice did not help their causes and instead went to the Las Vegas Bowl in which they destroyed Oregon State. The Cougars lost their starting QB in Max Hall and the NCAA's leading rusher in Harvey Unga. Many people have said this is going to be a down year for BYU, but Bronco Mendenhall has been in this position before, and done well in it.
TCU is looking to build off their massive success last season in which the Horned Frogs earned a Fiesta Bowl Berth. This time they have their eyes set on the National Championship and are led by formidable QB Andy Dalton and a powerful defense.
TCU should win this game since BYU is supposed to have a worse season than last year and TCU is supposed to have a better one.

BYU is ranked 45th while TCU is ranked 6th in the Sporting News Top 100. This game has a 3:00 P.M. CT kick on Saturday, October 16th and will be televised on Versus and Versus HD.
Voting begins at 11:00 A.M. MT every morning and lasts for 24 hours.

the game won't even by close. tcu by 17 to 21 points.
I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. Glory favors the bold. Chance favors the prepared mind. Luck, well i have that too. University of Utah goes to the Pac-12 conference in 2011. I expect them to compete immediately for the conference CG. I still will always follow the Mountain West Conference. Brock Lesnar will defeat Cain Velasquez and face the winner of Junior Dos Santos vs Roy Nelson (the winner will be jds by brutal ko)where he will defeat JDS and stake his claim as pound for pound champion. Womens MMA, the next big thing in sports. 4 weeks till the first game of college football. UTAH vs Pitt. September 2nd 2010.

TCU will have a better year this year?
Outside of having a higher ranking to start the year I see this years team (specifically defense) being less talented and less mature. Tank will be a beast no doubt but there doesn’t seem to be a three headed monster like they had last year with the LB (Washington?) and the 2 DE’s. Sorry TCU fans, but don’t be disappointed if you finish with a couple losses and 15+ ranking.
Yes TCU has had BYU’s # (more like “Max Hall’s #”) the last couple of years but this BYU O will be different in nearly every aspect of the game. Mark my words, there will be speed on O much like what we had in 2000 and ’01. Not to mention that we are going to go thru an overhaul on D as well. This BYU team has the potential to surprise people.
TCU wins but BYU keeps it respectable (under 10) or we pull a 2007 and with a bunch of newbies take out TCU.
I’m inclined to disagree with you more with the departure of Unga. With a solid running game to lean on, a new signalcaller wouldn’t be at such a disadvantage, but TCU’s 4-2-5 is a monster scheme in that you only see it once a year and its strength is in the secondary and the variety of blitzes it can bring. I’m always nervous against BYU, after that strange strange game in Provo in our first MWC season, but I’m feeling more confident about beating them this year than I have in the past 2-3 years.
