Predicting The Season: Utah @ San Diego State

Stay connected for news and updates

San Diego State had a relatively good season last year in Brady Hoke's first year, but this year many are expecting the Aztecs to go bowling. Last season's 4-8 campaign could have been a bowl season if they had won a couple of close games. This season, they have All-MWC first team wide receiver Vincent Brown and a 3,500 yard passer in Ryan Lindley.

Utah finished last season ranked #24 in the coaches poll, even with 3 losses. Utah ended the season with a 37-27 bowl win over Cal and are in their last season in the MWC. Utah's defense would normally be considered in a rebuilding state, but with the incoming talent's level, it's hard to not consider this defense elite.

Utah has a lot more talent on defense and should be able to stop Ryan Lindley enough times in order to beat them.

San Diego State is ranked 91st while Utah is ranked 22nd in the Sporting News Top 100. This game has a 7:00 P.M. PT kick and will be televised on The Mtn. and The Mtn. HD.
