The Cougars are coming off a season in which they were actually in talks of going to a BCS Bowl, but losing twice did not help their causes and instead went to the Las Vegas Bowl in which they destroyed Oregon State. The Cougars lost their starting QB in Max Hall and the NCAA's leading rusher in Harvey Unga. Many people have said this is going to be a down year for BYU, but Bronco Mendenhall has been in this position before, and done well in it.

BYU should win this one handily, but if the BYU offensive line is plagued by injuries, the offense could struggle.

UNLV is unranked while BYU is ranked 45th in the Sporting News Top 100. This game has a 12:00 P.M. MT kick and will be televised on The Mtn. and The Mtn. HD.
