Predicting the Season: UTEP @ New Mexico

UTEP didn't win too much last season, going 4-8 and not making a bowl game. But the people over at Miner Rush are predicting an improvement and the Miners going bowling this coming season. That would be a definite success for a program that's been struggling for the last few years.

New Mexico is going to try to rebound from a one win season just a year ago, but it won't be easy. New Mexico returns the least starters and has the least experience in starting out of all the teams in the MWC. UNLV is also looking to get their first winning season since 2000 after going 5-7 the last 2 years. They made a coaching change and that might give them the edge in this game.

UTEP probably will win this game because even though UTEP was a 4-8 team last season, New Mexico was a 1-11 team last season and people are predicting this coming season to be even worse than last season.

UTEP is ranked 77th while New Mexico is ranked 96th in the Sporting News Top 100. This game has a 4:00 PM MT kick and will be televised on The Mtn. and The Mtn. HD.

Voting begins at 11:00 AM Mountain Time every day and lasts for 24 hours.

Damn, was too late to vote on this..

I think UNM’s offensive struggles will be the key to this game… good old WAC rivalry, should be a good game.
