BYU Releases Pre-Fall Camp Depth Chart With Little Surprises
BYU released their pre-fall camp depth chart for the 2010 season and the eyes quickly go to the quarterback position where Bronco is attempting to fool everyone by saying all four have a shot. The battle is really between Riley Nelson and Jake Heaps with possibly James Lark as a backup if Jake Heaps is named the starter. My assumption is that Bronco either all ready has a starter named, or is leaning heavily to one and it probably will be Jake Heaps.
Quarterback - Riley Nelson, or Jake Heaps, or James Lark, or Jason Munns.
Left tackle - Matt Reynolds (Jason Speredon)
Left guard - Braden Hansen (Ryan Freeman)
Center - Terence Brown (Houston Reynolds)
Right guard - Nick Alletto (Marco Thorson)
Right tackle - Braden Brown (Walter Kahaialii)
Running back - Bryan Kariya (Mike Hague)
Running back - JJ DiLuigi (Joshua Quezada)
Tight End - Mike Muehlmann, Devin Mahina, Richard Wilson, or Austin Holt
Wide Receiver - O'Neill Chambers or Spencer Hafoka (Ross Apo)
Wide Receiver - McKay Jacobson or Luke Ashworth (Ross Apo)
Right defensive end - Matt Putnam (Thomas Bryson)
Nose tackle - Romney Fuga (Jordan Richardson)
Left end - Vic So'oto (Eathyn Manumaleuna)
Strongside linebacker - Jordan Pendleton (Jameson Frazier)
Buck linebacker - Brandon Ogletree or Aveni Leung-Wai
Weakside linebacker - Jordan Atkinson (Kyle Van Noy)
Field corner - Brian Logan (Robbie Buckner or Lee Aguirre)
Boundary corner - Brandon Bradley (Corby Eason)
Kat safety - Andrew Rich (Jray Galea'i)
Free safety - Steven Thomas (Travis Uale or Landon Jaussi)
Placekicker - Mitch Payne (Riley Stephenson)

Any word on Kaveinga?
I’ve read how he’s asked for permission to transfer and play right away. That would be huge for our D!
He is in limbo
Since he transferred prior to the USC sanctions the NCAA may not allow him that same privilege, but he said his reasons for transferring were related to that.

Im so high on our WR and TE corps that we have
its gonna be fun to see how Heaps and the rest do in there college careers. I can see Apo surpassing Collies numbers at BYU. With his speed and Height he is going to be hard to cover.
Im also impressed with our LB and DB’s. We finally have some speed at those positions cant wait for the season to start. GO Cougs!!!!!!!!!!
