BYU Running Back Harvey Unga Entering NFL Supplemental Draft
BYU's Harvey Unga who withdrew himself from the University due to violating the Honor Code has officially entered the NFL's supplemental draft which will take place in July. The supplemental draft is a different then the regular NFL draftand participation is voluntary by NFL teams
The supplemental draft unfolds like a silent auction, with teams submitting at the start of each "round" the name of any player they'd like to select. Priority is pre-determined based on 2009 records. Any team that obtains a player via the supplemental draft sacrifices the corresponding draft pick from the following year's entry draft.
This was more of a formality of when Harvey was going to announce his intentions to enter this draft. Unga was the all-time leading rusher with 3,455 yards on the ground while averaging 4.9 yards per carry. Unga is expected to be a fullback at the NFL level, and most likely would have been a fourth to fifth round draft prospect in the 2010 or 2011 NFL draft.

We all expected this when Unga was kicked off BYU.

UNLV is going all the way this year!
Technically he wasn't kicked off. He left of his own accord.
Though he probably would have left if his situation had been found out before he voluntarily left.
Let's try that second sentence again:
Though he probably would have been kicked off if his situation had been found out before he voluntarily left.
Good Luck to Harvey
Huge loss for BYU this season and hopefully a major gain for the NFL
Shame on any of you for focusing on why Unga left BYU, he showed that he is an honorable man by taking his commitments seriously and taking himself out of BYU.
Go Unga
We know the reason why
And I dont really care had he been at any other school it would not have mattered, but BYU is different with their honor code. Hope he does well.
