Seriously doubt this, but just throwing it out there.

Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott said in a teleconference Thursday that the Pac-10 won’t necessarily take any other Big 12 schools besides Colorado.

"I’d say that (having an 11-team conference) is a possibility," Scott said, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

Scott said no assurances and no invitations have been issued to any other Big 12 schools.

"There are several different scenarios," Scott said. "There is no defined timetable" for further Pac-10 expansion.

Yeah, right...

I expect that the PAC-16 could be finalized by this weekend.

Just like how the ACC was going to stop but then got BC for their 12th team.

short of stopping at 14

Spending 1/3rd of my life in the mountain and pacific time zones (LA/Colorado Springs). The only other rumored team that I have seen so far is OK State(they make 12){outside of the BigXII south-UB}. IF and A huge IF the Texas stand together… how does it break down? could the former SWC come together and to hell with the rest of them?

Mr. Know-it-all Chip Brown says...

The PAC-11 is just a “smoke screen” and expects there to be a PAC-16.

If by everything you mean nothing.

Chip said all 6 schools would be announced together: wrong.
He said that Baylor took CU’s spot: wrong.
He said that aTm was not talking to the SEC or the Big 10: wrong.
He said that Texas was not talking to the Big 10: wrong.

He’s been wrong about everything. His big prediction (Texas, OU, OSU, ATM, TTech to the PAC 10) is still pending, but right now his track record is . . . underwhelming.
