Utah And Colorado to the Pac-10 is a Done Deal?
According to ESPN radio host Colin Cowherd he said that Utah and Colorado is a done deal to join the Pac-10. I expect a lot of expansion gossip to happen including U Conn to the Big 10 with the BCS meetings starting today. Not sure who Cowheard's source is, but unless the Pac-10 is doing the complete opposite of the Big 10 then Larry Scott of the Pac-10 is doing a good job of keeping it very quiet. It is known that the only two candidates that fit the Pac-10 academically is Utah and Colorado.
I'll try to grab the audio about this and post later today or tomorrow.

Early question:
If Utah does go to the PAC-10, how does that affect you as a MWC blogger (and Utah fan)? Feel free to hold off on replying if you wish, but I’ll be curious about that down the road.
i've thought about it a lot.
And it is something ill have to think about.

Plus
It will be a few years so I have time to sort through things.

It would be just one year away. Utah would begin in 2011.
I’ve been calling this since these rumors started. Utah begins in 2011 so the MWC can’t use them in the BCS evaluation.

great, but i dunno
we’ve been waiting/wishing/speculating about this for years and it’s kind of like a boy who cried wolf thing right now.
true
But with what the big 10 is doing this seems like the real deal

I live in Vegas and hear him all the time
Many times he will say something is a done deal but it really isn’t. So many times I’ve seen him predict something and yet be wrong. I’m hoping this is one of those situations.
UNLV is going all the way this year!
agree
but like I said he is really into college football. The UCONN thing seems a bit of a stretch.

Only Utah and Colorado fit the PAC 10 Academically?
BYU is definitely a better fit than Utah when it comes to academics. I could have gotten into Utah easily. I most likely would have been rejected at BYU. There are arguably only a handful of schools in the PAC 10 that surpass BYU academically. And BYU has held up well athletically to PAC 10 schools in recent years.
not true
Pac-10 wants a research school, which BYU is not. That is the sticking point with BYU so they will not be in the Pac-10
