I'm gonna ask this seriously since you guys have been so nice to me...
but is UNM normally this bad. They seem to live and die with the perimeter game more than MU, and that played right into UW’s strengths.
The Big East is now 1-3 so far - Greg Gumble
No.
They have overachieved all season. This is the type of problem everyone expected them to have at the beginning of the year and why a team like SDSU is difficult for them. However, this is worse than they played against Oral Roberts. Hobson is not active, for some reason they don’t want to move the ball as much as they usually do and the pressure defense is non-existent. That plays into anyone’s strengths, but especially a team with big men.

I'll admit that I've only actually watched New Mexico twice, when they played my team.
But I have followed their scores all season. Especially in the last couple months, they’ve really been playing down to their opponents, struggling at times against subpar teams. But they’ve also played well against better opponents, so I don’t know. I do think they were probably a tad overseeded, but not egregiously.
cal proved me wrong. they played a great game with a suspended starter and 3000 miles of travel.
since kansas lost i hope they can beat syracuse. now it’s a west coast thing imo. just beat the east. congrats to washington too. they are peaking at right time. i’m sure glad i got west virginia to win it all.
I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. I was building a house, I don't deserve this, deserves have nothing to do with it. Bang. "Unforgiven" I drink your milkshake. I drink it up! "There Will BE Blood"

Well, BYU is playing a higher seed, so they probably just need to at least make it a good game.
New Mexico, on the other hand….
Indeed
Man, that sucked.
The worst part about it is that I am starting to care about what goes on in the NIT now.
