It was good for the Mountain West Conference to have UNLV and SDSU play for the tournament championship. UNLV was probably going to get in either way but SDSU was on the bubble and we all remember what happened to them last year when they were on the bubble with a similar resume.

New Mexico was probably going to get a 3 seed if they won the MWC tournament, so as a whole it was good for the conference.

BYU should be very dangerous if they can get past Florida and K-State. Playing in Salt Lake City is a huge advantage for the Cougars. It should be interesting if they can get there.
