The favorites are gone and it is down to host UNLV and San Diego State. If tonight's game is as good as the previous rounds then everyone is in for a treat.

Are you basing that on potential matchups? Given BYU’s struggles against the Rebels in Las Vegas I could see that, but considering them overall and not just matchups, I’d say BYU was a bigger favorite than BYU. And “well, New Mexico is New Mexico.”

and we were unranked on “nuetral” court that was 95% lobo fans. 2.5 points is pretty much a pickem in college basketball.

The top 4 of the MWC is a lot tighter than the rankings would indicate. UNM is certainly a good team, but everybody plays everybody tough.

I’m not sure what’s up with his bracketology. It was supposedly updated this morning, but if you click on SDSU (it’s Insider protected), it says:
San Diego State lives to fight another day after a narrow escape over Colorado State. The Aztecs will need to be much better against New Mexico.
So did he update the seeding, but not the info about them? Or did he not factor in their win last night? I’m guessing the former, but who knows.

I heard some announcer say some coaches were saying Jimmer Fredette was the best player to ever come through the Mountain West. The absurd hyperbole of that aside, a team can really dominate with a guy like Leonard developing. Considering he’s only a freshman, if his progress continues each year, he could be an absolute beast in a year or two.
