Falcons and Cowboys Kickoff the MWC Tournament

Today at 2PM (pacific time) in Sin City the Mountain West Conference Tournament starts up with the play in game between the Air Force Falcons(9-20, 1-15) and the Wyoming Cowboys(10-20, 3-13).  The winner will get to take on #1 seed New Mexico tomorrow. The teams split the season series 1-1 with the home team winning each game.

The Falcons lone conference win did come against Wyoming so there is hope for optimism.  Evan Washington scored a career high 23 points in that home victory.  Air Force is in good health and should give the Cowboys a run for their money.

The Cowboys have had a rough ride this season.  They lost their best player Afam Moujeke to a torn ACL, scholarship athletes Thomas Manzano and A.J. Davis left the program after a decline in playing time.  Through all that they did manage ten wins which is actually impressive with the season they had.  Their win at home against SDSU was very impressive.  In the last match up just a week ago the Cowboys won 58-49 in a game where they had four players in double figures.

The teams are fairly even with Wyoming getting a slight edge but come tournament time there are no guarantees.  The game will be broadcast in HD on theMTN at 2PM PST.

did you know the west coast conference tournament was held at the orleans arena?

it’s part of the orleans casino. i wonder if the wcc asked to play at the thomas and mack and they said no.

I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. I was building a house, I don't deserve this, deserves have nothing to do with it. Bang. "Unforgiven" I drink your milkshake. I drink it up! "There Will BE Blood"
