Here are links to each schools recruiting page. They are up to date and have video highlights and info on the recruits.
Also, follow me @mwcconnectionnas I will be tweeting news and retweeting news throughout the day. I would have like to see CSU do a little better in the State of Colorado. I know there isn’t a ton of D-1 players, but they didn’t get many of them.

was down to Oklahoma and Utah
good pick up for Utah. He stated he was doubtful he could played much at OU..which I never understood as OU’s O-line was sucky and thin.

He should start next season and replace Zane Beadles

didn’t catch name on WWLS radio in OKC, reported that Collin texted him and said he was going to Utah.

Wow New Mexico picks up 4 star Calvin Smith
had offers from Florida, Alabama, Notre Dame and many others. He isn’t even from new mexico. How did they pull that off?

shot NM to 84 on Rivals list
but they still need more bodies. Only 11 commits according to Rivals and only Smith to sign.

They need a full class
of 20-25 and hope they can compete right away and get at least 4 wins next year.

Though something like that worries the hell out of me when I think of what UNM might have done wrong. I hope we’re clean.
I can give no reasonable explanation as to why someone would choose to play at UNM coming off of a 1-11 season over the National Champs and others in the strongest football conference.
The other scenario says that maybe he sucks or is not confident. Nah…I’m going to stay excited about this.

When I see late minute
switches like this on a big player to less prestigious schools, I think grades, and maybe he’s questionable academically. So teams like Bama and Florida tend to pull scholarship offers to give to those they think WILL qualify.
hell…you never know…maybe he loved the campus and Albuquerque, and if he’s that good…he should play right off, where he might not have at the bigger schools.

It must be playing time/starting. I mean I bleed Cherry and Silver, but I am an alumnus of Ole Miss, and I know that at Ole Miss we offer and take on kids who do not qualify to pump them into the JC system and hope they qualify in the following year or to grayshirt them. And if he is good, I would assume the other schools would do the same. That was quite a list of offers he had.
I’ve asked some Ole Miss friends of mine who live recruiting to see what their take is. I’ll post it here if I get anything insightful.
More importantly, we do need more bodies like you said.

I did hear
that the school hired is father. But that was from a twitter feed and have yet to find anything more as of yet. However, Locksley is known as a good recruiter, hope its just that he is good at convincing these kids to go to ABQ

the difference in CSU's ranking
is difference of opinion on Thomas. Rivals likes him, Scouts does not. funny how one guy really changes the rankings.

CSU should be pretty happy
They came in with a few surprises with Tony Drake and Froland late and I didn’t hear of them losing anyone over the course of recruiting. They also got James Boone who had been connected with Miss St or Ole Miss.

Ra’Shawde Myers, DE Fl. 2* 155th positionally He switched to Marshal last week.
Still great class for CSU. As good as I remember since I’ve been following them. Next step: they need to be stronger in-state.

Think I saw Mason Myers and counted him. I usually go off last names.
Not a huge loss but he seemed like a solid recruit.

With the CO recruits...
I am not a big fan of CO recruits, I am even from CO. There are usually a handful of good ones but not always. CU only got 2 this year. One is a kicker.
It is just not a big football state and part of the reason Sonny Lubick got relieved. He loved local kids and the state dried up and so did CSU’s talent. Lubicks last class had 10 in-state kids and that was about average for him.

I guess, mean, own the good ones. Not to be the whole class, or even the heart of it, BUT the old formula for recruiting was to be #1 choice for the quality in-state kids, then fill out the rest of the class outta state.

At least according to Scouts.

It seems that the coaching at Boise, Utah, BYU, TCU, and other non-AQs either have better coaching and find players who are underdeveloped.
Boise has a low rating because it was a small class
They are still solid though.
